Kenya Cooperative Coffee Exporters Limited (KCCE) is registered as a Cooperative Society under the Cooperative Societies Act of 2004 and licensed as a commercial Coffee Marketing Agent by the Coffee Board of Kenya.

The formation of KCCE was in response to the dire need for Kenyan coffee farmers to have more control over the marketing of their produce in order to realize higher net returns from coffee farming. KCCE is therefore mandated to ensure that coffee farmers regain their profitability status when they realize the best price for their produce by reducing the number of middlemen between the farmer and the ultimate buyer of the coffee. KCCE also seeks to improve the quality and yield realized by small-scale farmers in order to enhance better livelihoods for coffee farmers.

This is achieved through systematic farmer education and exposures on production processing and marketing dynamics so that the farmers can remain competitive and conform to international coffee trading requirements.
