Forlene & Sons Investments LLC, which was formed in early 2015, is the offspring of Forlene Woods, which was established in 1997 by Forbes Skinner. Forbes Skinner, who is now the Project Manager and part owner of Forlene & Sons Investments, LLC became involved in actual logging/lumber production in 1995 when he operated a chainsaw logging business producing and selling Lumber to lumberyard owners on the coast.

The family who are all Guyanese traveled to the United States in 2001. In 2015 Forbes Skinner and his two sons, Leaveil Skinner and Devon Skinner raised the Capital need to relaunch a full-fledged chainsaw logging business to produce and sell lumber locally and overseas. The business is locally managed by Forbes Skinner who returned to Guyana to reside.
