Why use Vermiuclite in garden soil?

Vermiculite can be found in potting soil or purchased by itself in four different sizes for gardening with vermiculite. Germinate

seeds using the smallest size of vermiculite as a growing medium and the largest size for improved soil aeration.

Vermiculite is the name of a group of hydrated laminar minerals (aluminum-iron magnesium silicates) which look like mica.

Horticultural vermiculite is processed with massive heat which expands it into accordion shaped pellets composed of multiple

layers of thin plates. It will not rot, deteriorate, or mold and is enduring, odorless, non-toxic and sterile.

Vermiculite is generally a neutral 7.0 but is dependent upon the source from around the globe and its reaction is alkaline.

It is very lightweight and mixes easily with other mediums.

1. Horticulture:    growing media, soil conditioner, plant growth substance,

                          lawn of golf, seed preservation agent,wetting agent, feed additives.

2. Construction:   lightweight material, light aggregate concrete, heat-resisting material,

                            wall material, bora firproofing, fire mortar, fireproofing insulation Material.

3. Heat preservation insulation: sound-absorbing material,surken pipe ,greenhouse pipe,

                heat preservation material ,in-built material indoor and tunnel ,wall of public and ceiling.

4. Metallurgy:     clad material in steel,ironmaking ,foundry,bulk material of vermiculite.

5. Others:          Adsorbent, filter aid, active carrier of chemicals and fertilizer,

                         sewage disposal, oil adsorption of oceanmcigarette filters, etc.
