What is Vermiculite?
Vermiculite is a mineral composed mainly of clay and mica that is expanded under high heat. It is very light and airy and has good water retention.
Vermiculite is subjected to intense heat and can expand up to twenty times its original size. As Exfoliation occurs, millions of microscopic gaps are created within the plates
which give Vermiculite excellent insulation and water retention properties. Besides these highly beneficial qualities, Vermiculite is lightweight, air entraining and absorbent.
It is also environmentally friendly, chemically neutral and virtually sterile after exfoliation. Expanded Vermiculite is used in a wide number of markets including construction,
indusrtial, horticulture and agriculture.
The Type of vermiculite.
1) Crude Vermiculite
Golden Color: 0.3-1mm, 2-4mm, 4-8mm
Silver Color:0.3-1mm, 2-4mm, 4-8mm etc.
2) Expanded Vermiculite
A: Golden Color
Main Sizes: 20-40mesh, 40-60mesh, 1-3mm, 2-4mm, 3-6mm, 4-8mm etc.
