Year 1965 Yoshifuku Shoe Factory was founded in Nagata, Kobe, Japan.
Year 1966 A founder, Hideo Tokuhara established Tokuhara Shoji Co. and
export footwear made in Kobe to the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Year 1966 Started a business relationship with H.H.Brown Shoe Co., Inc. in USA as an exclusive agent in Japan and export chemical shoes made in Kobe to U.S. market.
H.H.Brown Shoe Co., Inc. was established in 1883 and introduced
leather shoe making method of Goodyear welt and Moccasin first time in Asia. Through their project Hideo Tokuhara learned knowledge and know how of leather and shoe making technology.
Year 1986 Due to a sharp yen appreciation caused by Plaza Agreement in 1985,
Switched business style to import from export using technical know how of shoe making learned well in Kobe as sales representatives of Korea and Taiwan shoe makers.
Year 1996 Hideo Tokuhara established Lowell Japan, Inc.
Started production of leather shoes in Cambodia as a first time
in Japan.
Year 1997 Started production of leather shoes in Myanmar as a first time in Japan as well.
Lowell Japan has been a pioneer company of making shoes from preferential trading area (PTA).
Year 2006 Opened overseas planning office in Dongguan, Guang Dong, China
to provide a quick response services to customers.
Year 2007 Opened overseas QC office in Shihanoukville, Cambodia.
All years around our Japanese inspectors stayed at a factory and control quality.
Year 2008 Strengthen an alliance with New Star Shoes Co., Ltd. which head office is located in Taiwan.
Built up our own exclusive production line at the factory of New Star in Cambodia to achieve consistent system from development to quality control.
Year 2016 Released "FIT JOY" as a Lowell's first original factory brand .
